PACKING WHITS
An ancient cloth which was specially exempted from the stringent regulations imposed on cloth manufactured in England by the Act of 1483. Among the other fabrics equally favoured were : " Plonkets, turkies, celectrines, vesses, cogware, worsteds, florences, bastards, kendals, saylingware, with cremil lists and frise ware, so as in other respects they be fairly made."
